Foxlore guarantees your puppy
to be in good health and free of disease at the time he leaves
our home. We suggest the new owner have their puppy examined
by a licensed Veterinarian within 72 hours of delivery. If
the puppy is found to have a debilitating congenital defect or
contagious disease by a licensed Veterinarian within that time
frame, the buyer may return the puppy, along with a written
statement from the Veterinarian, to the breeder for
replacement with next available puppy of equal value or
greater value if the buyer pays the difference.
We strive for quality at Foxlore
and have a lifetime commitment to every Toy Fox Terrier we
produce. Therefore, we do extensive pedigree research prior to
any breeding and require our dogs to have health clearances
prior to being bred. All Foxlore puppies are health screened and
temperament tested prior to going to their new homes.
As such, your puppy is fully
guaranteed against Leggs-Perthes, Von Willebrands Disease,
CHG, and Progressive Retinal Atrophy for one year from the
date of sale. If, within this period, any such health problem
is found, the buyer may return the puppy and receive a
replacement puppy of equal value from a future litter. The
buyer may also choose to receive a puppy of greater value
providing they pay the difference. A written statement from a
licensed Veterinarian is required and the Breeder retains the
right to have the dog examined by their own Veterinarian.
Should a puppy die from a suspected genetic abnormality within
this period, an autopsy must be performed by a licensed
Veterinarian at the buyer's expense to verify the cause of
death. If it is determined a congenital or hereditary defect
caused death, the buyer will receive a replacement puppy, of
equal value or greater value if the buyer pays the difference,
from our next available litter. The breeder is not
responsible for any shipping, veterinary or medical expenses
incurred.It is a
requirement of this health guarantee that the new owner have
their puppy examined by a licensed Veterinarian. Failure to
do so will waive any guarantee other than those extending for one year from the date of sale. Those health
guarantees are:
Leggs-Perthes, Von Willebrands Disease, CHG, and Progressive
Retinal Atrophy. The reason for this requirement is that
a puppy can be stressed by shipping, changing diets, exposure
to strange dogs, and other factors involved in adjusting to a
new home. These stressors can cause a variety of issues
including, but not limited to, parasites, infectious disease,
and digestive issues. These are things we can’t control once
a puppy leaves our home. The buyer is responsible for the
puppy's environment at this time and as such these things are
the buyers responsibility.
Our goal at Foxlore is to
breed beautiful, healthy and sound Toy Fox Terriers with
outstanding temperament. We’ve devoted more than 16 years to
producing excellence in the Breed and our commitment to our
dogs lasts throughout their lifetime.
